The Snæfellsnes national park is home to the seal colony, shark museum and the charming village of Stykkishólmur. On the Snæfellsnes Peninsula you can experience the vast nature of Iceland including Snæfellsjökull glacier, black sandy beaches, mountains and volcanic craters and much more.
Arnarstapi and Hellnar rock formations
Arnarstapi and Hellnar are scenic rock formations and also home to the giant statue of the viking Bardur.
Lóndrangar basalt cliffs
Lóndrangar are basalt columns from an ancient crater that have been eroded to their current form by the ocean.
Ölkelda mineral spring
Ölkelda is a small town in the countryside of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Nearby you can find a natural mineral spring with carbonated water. It has been said that carbonated water has some healing properties so worry not and have a sip!
Kirkjufell mountain
Kirkjufell is a cone shaped mountain and probably the most photographed one in Iceland. The mountain towers some 463 meters (1,519 ft.) above sea level and has been described as one of Iceland's most beautiful mountains.
